Webshot Gallery Plugin
This Plugin for Textpattern creates a Webshot thumbnail for each of your links, that are stored under Content > Links.
A common way to handle this Use-case ( That mostly applies for Gallery Sites) is to use a script, which generates these Server-wise.
The caveat is, that the ones I found, only work in a Windows Sever Environment, which is also not the one, where TXP feels at home.
However, an easy way to overcome this, is to use a Service which allows for a specific amount of image thumbnail requests per specified time-period for free.
This plugin, allows you to do just that.
Once the plugin is activated, you can update your user-info under the Extensions Tab.
( Which is useful from time to time to combat hot-linkers)
You can display your Gallery thumbnail link-lists in the usual way, using the TXP-native linklist tag. Because TXP does not provide a native link tag, that can be used as container tag as well, the plugin has this option taken care of. ( Which might prove useful for other cases as well)
User Service Info can be updated under the Plugin Preferences within seconds.
On top of that, the plugin will use caching to keep the amount of image requests at a bare minimum.
